SUMMARY:ACEDS X EDRM Duplicate Identification Project | Message Identification Hash
DESCRIPTION:What is Message ID Hash? Hear why our local industry experts believe you should request the MIH in your next document exchange protocol.\n\n\nCurrently\, no means of cross platform email duplicate identification exists. \nThe EDRM Message Identification Hash (MIH) Specification takes a simple but effective approach to cross-platform email duplicate identification by computing the MD5 hash value of a standard\, obligatory email metadata field called the Message-ID. \nSpeakers will share their technical expertise regarding the issue\, how the solution was formed and what they think our region should know when implementing this solution. \nSpeakers: \nCraig Ball\, Attorney\, Certified Computer Forensic Examiner and Adjunct Professor\, University of Texas School of Law \nBeth Patterson\, Director ESP Connect \nMatthew Golab\, Director\, Legal Informatics and R&D\, Gilbert + Tobin \nGavin Wingfield\, Director\, Applied Legal Technology\, King & Wood Mallesons \nEmma Young\, Head of eDiscovery Delivery\, Sky Discovery

SUMMARY:Qualifications v Experience
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special event\, where our panellists share their experience of how eDiscovery has rapidly changed in the ANZ region.\n\n\n\nIt is a known fact that there is a huge talent shortage in eDiscovery\, especially in the Australia and New Zealand markets. In 2018\, the Royal Commission into the Financial services industry created huge demand for legal technology specialists. Many of the specialists rose to the challenge to deliver the highly demanding time sensitive deliverables. This resulted in law firms growing their in house capability and expanding their legal technology teams. But did these experiences give the teams the breadth and depth of expertise they are looking for? How is this qualified? \nWhat do experts and newcomers to our industry in the region need to progress their career? Is it experience\, qualifications\, other? What challenges do we have specifically in this region? \nWe invite you to join us for this special event\, where our panellists share their experience and perspective on how eDiscovery has evolved in the ANZ region\, what eDiscovery firms and eDiscovery professionals are looking for and also a look at the current state of talent and technology in the Australia & New Zealand eDiscovery industry. \nWe’d also love to hear from you\, the audience\, about what you’d like to see in terms of education\, experience and opportunities as our new Australia and New Zealand Chapter of the Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists look to grow our local community and provide resources\, education and worthwhile experiences for its members.
